These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and FurrFurr Mobility Pvt. Ltd. ("FurrFurr", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of furrfurr.in, the FurrFurr rider application, and every vehicle we rent to you.
By creating an account, taking delivery of a vehicle, or otherwise using our services, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use our services.
01Definitions
- 'Vehicle' means the electric two-wheeler allotted to you, together with its battery, charger, keys, documents, and any accessories handed over with it.
- 'Rental Period' means the period from handover of the Vehicle to you until the Vehicle is returned to and accepted by us.
- 'Plan' means the daily, weekly, or monthly rental package you select, with the rates and inclusions shown at the time of booking.
- 'Hub' means a FurrFurr location where vehicles are handed over, returned, serviced, or where batteries are swapped.
- 'Rider' or 'you' means the individual who books, takes, or uses a Vehicle.
02Eligibility and verification
To rent a Vehicle from us, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- Provide a valid government-issued proof of identity and proof of address.
- Hold a valid driving licence appropriate to the Vehicle, where the Vehicle allotted to you requires one under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the rules made under it, and produce it on demand.
- Provide a working mobile number that you control, and complete any verification we reasonably ask for.
- Provide accurate information, and update it if it changes during the Rental Period.
We may accept or refuse any booking at our discretion, including where verification fails, where documents appear altered, where there is an unpaid balance on a previous rental, or where we have reasonable grounds to believe the Vehicle will be misused. We will tell you if we refuse, but we are not obliged to give detailed reasons.
03Booking, plans, and the rental agreement
- Rates, inclusions, deposit, and the duration of each Plan are as displayed in the FurrFurr app or on the rate card provided at the Hub at the time of booking. Those figures form part of these Terms for your rental.
- A booking is confirmed only when we accept it, verification is complete, the applicable deposit and advance rent are received, and the Vehicle is physically handed over to you.
- At handover we will record the condition of the Vehicle, its accessories, and battery state, and share that record with you. Raise any discrepancy at the point of handover. Once you ride away, the recorded condition is treated as agreed.
- The Rental Period continues until the Vehicle is returned to a Hub during operating hours and accepted by us. Leaving a Vehicle unattended anywhere does not end the Rental Period.
- You may extend your Plan through the app or at a Hub, subject to availability and payment. Extensions are not automatic.
- The Vehicle at all times remains the property of FurrFurr. You receive a right to use it for the Rental Period only. You acquire no ownership, lien, or other interest in it.
04Charges, deposit, and payment
- Rent is payable in advance for each Plan cycle, by the methods we make available. Applicable taxes are charged in addition where required by law.
- A refundable security deposit is payable before handover. We may apply the deposit against unpaid rent, damage, loss, fines, challans, recovery costs, or any other amount you owe us.
- The balance of the deposit is refunded after the Vehicle is returned and inspected, normally within the period stated at booking, to the account you paid from.
- If a payment fails or rent is not paid when due, we may charge a late fee at the rate disclosed at booking, suspend your access to the Vehicle, immobilise it remotely where technically possible, and recover it.
- You are responsible for bank, gateway, or payment instrument charges levied by your provider.
- We do not adjust rent for days you choose not to ride. The Plan runs on calendar time, not on usage.
05How you may use the Vehicle
Permitted use
The Vehicle is provided for lawful personal transport and for commercial delivery work in the city in which it was allotted to you. Use it sensibly, within its rated capacity, and in line with the operating instructions we give you.
Prohibited use
You must not:
- Allow anyone other than you to ride the Vehicle, or sublet, rent out, lend, pledge, or sell it.
- Ride under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs your ability to ride.
- Carry passengers or loads beyond the Vehicle's rated capacity, or carry loads in a way that affects stability or braking.
- Use the Vehicle to transport anything illegal, hazardous, flammable, or prohibited by law.
- Use the Vehicle for racing, stunts, off-road riding, towing, or driving instruction.
- Take the Vehicle outside the city or geographic area agreed with us without our prior written permission.
- Tamper with, disable, remove, or obstruct the telematics unit, odometer, battery management system, or any lock or safety device.
- Modify, repaint, rewire, or fit accessories to the Vehicle, or have it repaired by anyone other than FurrFurr or a workshop we authorise.
- Charge the battery with any charger other than the one supplied or approved by us, or open, submerge, or expose the battery to fire or extreme heat.
- Use the Vehicle in commission of any offence, or in a manner that breaches the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, traffic regulations, or any other applicable law.
06Your obligations as a rider
- Wear a helmet that meets Indian standards, and comply with all traffic laws, signals, and speed limits at all times.
- Carry your driving licence, where one is required for the Vehicle allotted to you, and the Vehicle documents while riding, and produce them to authorities on demand.
- Keep the Vehicle secure. Lock it, park it lawfully, and do not leave the keys in it or the Vehicle unattended in an unsafe place.
- Keep the Vehicle clean and in the condition in which it was handed to you, fair wear and tear excepted.
- Charge or swap the battery in line with the instructions we give you, and return the battery and charger with the Vehicle.
- Report any fault, warning light, unusual noise, accident, damage, or theft to FurrFurr immediately, and in any case within 24 hours.
- Cooperate with us and with insurers in any investigation, survey, or claim, and provide statements, photographs, and documents we reasonably request.
- Return the Vehicle at the end of the Rental Period, in the agreed condition, to the Hub and within the operating hours notified to you.
07Battery, charging, and swapping
- The battery is part of the Vehicle and remains our property. Treat it with the same care as the Vehicle itself.
- Where your Plan includes battery swapping, swaps are available at our swap points during operating hours, subject to availability. We do not guarantee that a charged battery will be available at a specific point at a specific time.
- Stated range figures are indicative and measured under test conditions. Real range varies with load, terrain, traffic, riding style, temperature, tyre pressure, and battery age. We do not warrant that you will achieve the stated range.
- Battery capacity degrades naturally over time. Degradation consistent with normal use is not a defect.
- Damage to a battery caused by an unapproved charger, water ingress, physical impact, tampering, or misuse is your responsibility and will be charged to you at replacement cost.
08Maintenance, breakdown, and support
- We maintain the Vehicle and carry out scheduled and preventive servicing. You must present the Vehicle for scheduled servicing when we ask, and allow us reasonable access to it.
- We provide on-road breakdown support and doorstep servicing within our service area, during the hours notified to you. Response times we publish are targets, not guarantees, and can be affected by traffic, weather, and demand.
- Where a Vehicle is off the road for a fault that is not your responsibility and that we cannot rectify within a reasonable time, we will provide a replacement Vehicle where one is available, or credit rent for the affected days. That is your sole remedy for downtime.
- Where a Vehicle is off the road because of your act, omission, or misuse, rent continues to run and repair costs are payable by you.
- Repairs must be carried out by FurrFurr or a workshop we authorise. We will not reimburse unauthorised repairs.
09Damage, accident, theft, and loss
- Report any accident, damage, or theft to FurrFurr immediately and, where the law requires it or where a third party is involved, file a police report and give us a copy.
- Do not admit liability, settle, or make any promise to a third party on our behalf.
- You are responsible for damage to the Vehicle during the Rental Period other than fair wear and tear, up to the amounts and subject to the exclusions notified to you at booking.
- If the Vehicle is stolen or not returned, you remain liable for rent until the date of the police report or the date we recover the Vehicle, whichever is earlier, and for any shortfall not met by insurance.
- Loss of keys, charger, documents, or accessories is charged at replacement cost.
- We may deduct amounts due under this section from your security deposit and recover any balance from you.
10Insurance
Vehicles that require insurance under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 are insured as required by law. The scope of cover, the excess or deductible payable by you, and the exclusions that apply are set out in the policy documents and in the rate card provided at booking. Cover does not apply where the Vehicle was being used in breach of these Terms, in particular where the rider was unlicensed, impaired, or engaged in prohibited use. In those cases you are liable for the full loss.
11Traffic violations, challans, and penalties
- You are responsible for every traffic violation, challan, e-challan, parking fine, towing charge, impound fee, and penalty arising during your Rental Period.
- Where a notice is issued to FurrFurr as the registered owner, we will pass it to you and you must pay it. We may pay it on your behalf and recover the amount from you, together with an administrative fee disclosed at booking.
- If a Vehicle is impounded or seized because of your act or omission, rent continues to run and you bear the costs of release.
- We are required to identify the rider to the authorities when asked, and we will do so.
12Tracking and monitoring
You acknowledge that the Vehicle carries a telematics unit that records location, trip, battery, and diagnostic data while the Vehicle is allotted to you, and that we may remotely immobilise a Vehicle where rent is overdue, where the Vehicle is reported stolen, or where these Terms have been materially breached. We will not immobilise a Vehicle in a manner we know to be unsafe. How this data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.
13Suspension, termination, and return
- You may end a rental at any time by returning the Vehicle to a Hub. Rent already paid for the current cycle is not refundable unless the rate card says otherwise.
- We may suspend or terminate a rental immediately, without notice, where rent is overdue, where you breach these Terms, where verification documents turn out to be false, where the Vehicle is being misused, or where we reasonably believe there is a risk to safety or to the Vehicle.
- We may also terminate for convenience on the notice period stated in your rental agreement.
- On termination you must return the Vehicle, battery, charger, keys, documents, and accessories immediately. If you do not, we may recover the Vehicle, and you will be liable for rent and recovery costs until we do.
- We will inspect the returned Vehicle, settle any amounts owing against the deposit, and refund the balance.
14Website, app, and intellectual property
- The FurrFurr name, logo, vehicle names, website, app, designs, text, and images are owned by FurrFurr or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
- You may use the website and app only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with their operation, scrape them, or introduce malicious code.
- Names and marks of delivery platforms appearing on our website belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the work our riders do. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
- Content on the website, including range figures, uptime figures, and impact statistics, is provided for general information. Specific figures for your rental are those in your rental agreement and rate card.
15Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Subject to that:
- We provide the Vehicle and our services with reasonable skill and care, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that a Vehicle or a charged battery will always be available, or that published range, uptime, or response times will be achieved in every case.
- We are not liable for loss of earnings, loss of orders, loss of incentives, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss, however caused.
- We are not liable for any act, omission, decision, rating, deactivation, or payment of any delivery platform you work with.
- We are not liable for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings left in or on the Vehicle.
- Our total liability to you in connection with any rental is limited to the total rent you paid us for that rental in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
16Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold FurrFurr, its directors, employees, and agents harmless against all claims, demands, losses, damages, fines, penalties, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the Vehicle, your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law, or any injury or damage you cause to a third party while the Vehicle is allotted to you.
17Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disaster, flood, fire, epidemic, pandemic, civil unrest, strike, riot, act of government, power failure, network or telecommunications failure, or restrictions on movement. Where such an event continues for an extended period, either party may end the rental, and we will refund rent for the unused period.

20General
- We may amend these Terms. The 'last updated' date reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified to you by email, SMS, or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use a Vehicle after that means you accept the change.
- If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues in full force.
